i'm learning the art of self-care.
i'm learning that it's okay to whisper two letters that are hard for me :: no. i'm learning how to soak in life, allowing myself to sojourn to the art table and sink into paint and ink and paper. i'm learning that it's okay to shut the bathroom door and cry, because it cleanses, and that's okay.
i'm learning to take care of me so that i can better take care of them.
:: i'm learning how to embrace the self that the Lion found worthy enough to die for.
and i want to help you do the same.
so i have put together three amazing packages, three amazing love-gifts from my heart and from the hearts of eight other craftsmen, to show you that you are worthy of some tender love all your own.
// you could win //

oh dearhearts, i am so excited to bring you these gifts. you are a warrioress, prized and loved beyond all knowing. you are treasured and precious.
love yourself. it's okay.
Self-care means taking care of myself emotionally, physically, and spiritually, even when I don't feel like it. If I am to love others when I don't feel like it, then I ought to love myself even when I don't feel worthy or beautiful or deserving of it!
ReplyDeleteI love Package #1. Journal, necklaces, soap...I can just imagine a lovely evening involving a bath and quiet time to myself!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely giveaway - so many of us need to learn how to care for what He created us to be!
ReplyDeleteI love both packages but #2 has an bit of an edge - also, I will be away on holidays and sadly would miss the Made conference :-(
ReplyDeletei love package number 2!
ReplyDeleteSelf care means speaking up for myself as I would for anyone else I love!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a yummmmmy giveaway.
ReplyDeleteFor me, selfcare means nurturing myself in life giving ways so that I can in turn give myself away. Selfcare for me looks like getting my creativity on, being okay with not knowing all the answers (a work in progress), God time, exercise, and (if I'm lucky) a biweekly shower. Oh and connecting with beloved friends both In person and online. :)
Package #1 hands down!
ReplyDeleteSelf- care is my passion. I write about it monthly and learn about it daily.
ReplyDeleteI love all the prizes. Can't decide!
ReplyDeleteSelf-care means learning to love self as God loves me - every line and crease and wrinkle. It means breathing deep, stepping back, and entering in to just being - to stillness, to wholeness, to being aware of the whisper of Heaven. It means a decent night's sleep, drinking plenty of water, physical activity that boosts my heart and soul, and writing writing writing.
ReplyDeleteI love all three packages. the Made Course I would love because I want to dive into being more creative with the physical things around me and create tangible gifts to share and spread inspiration and hope. But really package #1 seems to fit my theme for self-care: to honor God with me body by caring for it, adorning it, and keeping it beautiful because I am His precious and lovely treasure.
ReplyDeleteSelf-care means understanding yourself, knowing who you are and what you need to be you...to nurture those parts of you that are vital to making you...you
ReplyDeleteWow, the second blog question is difficult! I love all three prize packages but I think the one I'd love to win most is the spot in the MADE course. Creativity is so healing on a variety of levels, as a babyloss mom, I have found in the past 2.5 years that creativity is my outlet...it is also my connection to parts of me that I hadn't realized where there. I think winning the opportunity to take that course is a prize like no other.
ReplyDeleteSelf care means asking myself in any moment "What is the right thing to be doing right now?"
ReplyDeleteMy favourite prize is the Made e-course.
ReplyDeleteSelf-care means taking care of my body, mind, and spirit the best I can so I can be strong and able to serve God.
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to win the MADE course. I really want to participate in it, but don't have the finances right now to do so.
ReplyDeleteI've been finding that to take care of myself (what you like to call self-care), I've got to let myself decompress after work, soak up the silence, pray, write, read, take a hot bubble bath, sing, play the piano keys, paint, sketch, etc. I've found that art is a really great way for me to silence my inner doubting thoughts, let go, and just catch the hem of His garment while I get creative! ;)
ReplyDeletePrize Package #1 is oh-so-breathtaking! I'd looove to win that one! And the MADE course looks wonderful, but right now I don't think I'd be able to take that course on with my current life on-goings - but for future reference it looks like something I'd absolutely love to join! <3
ReplyDeleteSelf-care means understanding that the tears will come and not rushing to wipe them away but rather soak in their healing powers. It means surrounding myself - no, immersing myself - in other strong women's lives. God did not make us to walk through this life alone. Self-care means taking time to know the new me, the work-in-progress me after babyloss. Learning to be comfortable in my own skin again.
ReplyDeletePrize Package #1 - although they are all delightful. Not feeling brave enough or creative enough for the Made course...
ReplyDeleteSelf-care means taking the time to remind myself that I AM WORTH IT and that taking ten minutes out of the day to do something just for me is totally okay. :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to be part of the MADE eCourse. I was originally going to contribute, but my eating disorder got out of hand and I had to go into treatment. MADE sounds like just the thing to get me connected with my creativity and with God during this healing time.
ReplyDeleteSelf-care means realizing and accepting that taking care of your health before serving others is not selfish; it's the best way of ensuring that you serve others at your best.
ReplyDeleteI like prize package #1 the best, but I would love any of them.
ReplyDeleteTo me, self care is saying "no" to people. I've always been a people pleaser, and in the past it has absorbed so much of my time that it's become an issue. I'm getting better, though!
ReplyDeleteI would absolutely love a spot in Made. It sounds amazing!
